The IBDP 2 Refresher Programme at Knowledgeum Academy, held on July 6th and 7th, 2023, was a remarkable success, setting the stage for an exhilarating academic year ahead. The event commenced with a spirited "Welcome and Rejuvenate Session," led by Mr. Basavaraj, where students engaged in yoga and fun games to promote cognitive and motor skill development. The session not only energized the participants but also fostered a sense of enthusiasm and camaraderie as they embarked on their second year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
A significant aspect of the programme was the "Introduction of New Educators," which allowed learners to establish strong connections and familiarity with their teachers. This initiative was crucial in ensuring a supportive and conducive learning environment for the students throughout their academic journey.
Knowledgeum Academy went a step further in empowering participants by providing "Valuable Insights on School Policies, EE, IA, and TOK." Through informative sessions, students gained a comprehensive understanding of school policies, the code of conduct, and the timelines for their Extended Essay (EE), Internal Assessment (IA), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) components. This knowledge instilled confidence in their ability to navigate the educational landscape effectively.
The "Creativity and Art Integration" session, led by Mr. Suresh, was a highlight of the event. Engaging in activities like drawing and paper-cutting stimulated learners' creativity, preparing them for the challenges of the IB visual arts curriculum.
Another memorable segment was the "Performing Arts Session & DP 1 Orientation Planning," guided by Mr. Chandra Keerthi. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their creative talents through acting and tap dance performances, further igniting their passion for the arts and setting the stage for a promising academic year.
